Student One provides a safe, secure, dedicated student living experience that is a real alternative to homestay placement for international students under the age of 18 years. At Student One, students under the age of 18 have the opportunity to place themselves within a culturally diverse peer network made up of domestic and international residents. Our team, made up of experienced management, staff and resident assistants, will be there to guide residents through their study and work lives.
At Student One we take the safety of our students very seriously to ensure our under 18 students have a safe place to stay during their studies at IES College.
Safety measures include secure electronic key card access to the building and apartments, a curfew time of Sun - Thus 8pm and Fri - Sat 10pm at which we insist that each student must identify themselves as being present in the accommodation and 24/7 onsite staff to engage with our residents and do regular welfare checks.
Throughout Student One we have CCTV cameras that monitor common areas, lifts and the corridors on the under 18 floors.
Student One has developed and implemented a COVID Safe Management Plan, which is continually reviewed in line with the global understanding of coronavirus COVID-19.
Student One is located right in the heart of Brisbane’s City Centre, only a short 2km or 20 minute walk away from IES campuses in Spring Hill as well as a great choice of shopping and dining outlets. All Student One residences are located within the Queensland Police Service surveillance district.
Student One offer free unlimited WiFi internet in all of our buildings allowing you to study, download material or chat to family and friends back home no matter where you are on site. You can have up to 3 devices online at any given time.
How does a bean bag cinema, an outdoors bbq area, a games room, a gym and a swimming pool sound? Not to forget the study areas, dedicated music rooms, free bikes and play stations to use as well as the roof top entertainment area looking over Brisbane!
