How to book your Student One room

Your step-by-step guide to booking with Student One

Step 1. Explore your room types

Start by visiting the Book now page and browsing available rooms across our three Brisbane locations: Student One Wharf Street / Student One Adelaide Street / Student One Elizabeth Street. You can search by your preferred length of stay, whether you’re looking for a short stay from 12 weeks, one semester or a full year. This is also the time to think about what matters most to you. Do you want your own quiet space? Are you hoping to share with friends? Would you prefer a budget-friendly option, extra facilities or a central location close to dining, study and transport?

Step 2. Choose your room

Once you’ve found a room type that suits your needs and budget, click Book now. You’ll be asked to share a few details so we can show you suitable available rooms. You’ll then be able to review room options, including room numbers and weekly rates, before selecting the one you’d like to book.

Step 3. Add your personal and study details

Next, you’ll need to complete your booking details. This usually includes your: Personal information / Contact details / Study details / Preferred booking dates / Living preferences / Details of any friends you’d like to live with, if relevant. (Keep reading for more information about how group bookings work.)

Step 4. Review your rental agreement

After entering your details, you’ll be taken to the Student One portal, where you can review your rental agreement. Take the time to read through the agreement carefully, including your room details, weekly rate and payment information. If you’re a parent helping a student book, this is a good point to review the details together.

Step 5. Pay your deposit to secure your room

To secure your Student One booking, you’ll need to pay a deposit equal to two weeks’ rent. Once your deposit is paid and your rental agreement is signed, your booking is confirmed. You’ll then receive information about what happens next, including how to prepare for move-in. If you’re unsure about any part of the form, our team is here to help.

Can parents help with the booking?

Parents can help by: Comparing room options and locations / Reviewing the rental agreement / Checking deposit and payment information / Helping the student prepare documents / Asking questions before the booking is confirmed / Supporting under-18 or international students through the process. While the student’s details will still need to be entered accurately, we welcome questions from parents and families who want to better understand how Student One works.
