STUDENT ONE ACCOMMODATION SCHOLARSHIPS

At Student One, we know that 2020 has been a difficult year for students in Australia. We have seen it first-hand, and we are proud to continue our support of our residents into 2021 and beyond.  Our two new scholarships are designed to help and support our residents and to ensure everyone gets a fair chance of living smarter and better at Student One.

Student One residents will always have access to our amazing facilities, inclusions, and welcoming community. However, we know many students in 2021 will need financial support to see them through. Whether you’re about to graduate high school - or if online learning made you feel like you never left - Student One is here to support you in your quest to complete your studies.

From September 2020, students will have more opportunities than ever to access financial support from Student One, beyond the competitive rates we already offer.

2020 was a difficult year to be a Year 12 student. I am from Cairns where I used to have a part-time job in tourism before COVID-19 changed everything. While I am sure I will graduate with good grades, I know that the move to Brisbane will be a financial challenge without a part-time job lined up. Receiving the Australian Assistance Scholarship will definitely help me out while I get settled in my new home!”

If successful in your application, Student One will contribute $30 per week towards your weekly rent, for the duration of your lease.

“I’m moving to Brisbane from Mackay to study a Bachelor of Music at QUT. I would love to set up regular jam sessions with other musicians at Student One. I’d be happy to play music with others on a regular basis, and to share my passion for music with the Student One community.”

“Being an International student from China, I really want to improve my conversational English and spend time with other students. I would also like to commit to sharing my heritage and knowledge about China and to help people learn more about my country. I would be happy to volunteer 2 hours each week to assisting others to learn more about China, or even to teach basic Chinese language skills.”

If successful in your application, Student One will contribute $50 per week towards your weekly rent, for the duration of your lease.
