As Brisbane’s premium student accommodation, Student One has established the ‘S.O.S. Student One Scholarships’ program, as a way to support the living arrangements for students. In collaboration with local Universities Student One has developed a bursary scheme for students to apply for a room in either a 4-, 5- or 6-bedroom apartment or for a single or executive studio at any of our three residences, Adelaide Street, Wharf Street or Elizabeth Street. To be eligible you must:
* Be an Australian student
* Be student undertaking a full time undergraduate program at a local University
* Provide documentation noting they are receiving or will be able to receive Federal Government Assistance, such as ABSTUDY, AUSTUDY, Youth Allowance or they are receiving a bursary of some type from their University.
* Be entering into a 12-month lease in your chosen room type.
For those students who qualify, Student One will contribute $50 per week per student to their weekly accommodation (representing the full payment of $2600 over the 12-month period) in either a standard room in a 4-, 5- or 6-bedroom apartment or for a single or executive studio. This will provide eligible students access to purpose built, premium quality student accommodation in Brisbane’s city centre at a similar cost to what they would incur living in share-housing or boarding accommodation a greater distance away from their place of study.
All rates include water, gas, electricity, unlimited wired and wireless internet, free bicycles to hire and access to all common areas such as gym, movie room, games room and study spaces. Student One does not provide linen, however students can purchase or hire these via our booking portal. The only additional cost for residents is use of our laundry (AUD$ 4.00 for washing or drying).
Student One has a team of international Resident Assistants dedicated to helping our residents, organizing activities such as city tours, movie nights, trips to the beach and much more. Student One has a private residents Facebook group page where all students can regularly check activities and communicate with each other.
