Located across the Brisbane River from the Brisbane City Centre and downstream from the Southbank precinct you’ll find the Kangaroo Point Cliffs. These heritage listed cliffs are a remnant of early Brisbane. The stone from the cliffs was milled to build a number of the historical buildings still found within the city centre.
They are now home to the Kangaroo Point bikeway, extensive public green spaces and over 370 lead rope and top rope climbing routes leading up the 18 metre cliff face. Being a place dedicated to recreational climbing, there are climbs suited to every skill level. To get to the Kangaroo Point Cliffs requires walking over either the Goodwill Bridge, the Story Bridge or alternately taken a ferry including the free City Hopper Service taking passengers across and along the Brisbane River.
